The UN has declared today the first World Day against Trafficking in Persons:
The day aims to raise awareness of the plight of human trafficking victims, and help promote and protect their rights. It is a chance to express our solidarity with the vulnerable, and pledge to give back the precious commodity stolen from them: hope (see their full statement here).
Now will you stand with us? Learn more about the issues of human trafficking at our website. We have videos, articles, movies, and books on our Resource page to help you become more aware of the realities of modern day slavery and suggestions for how to get involved. Have a heart for Victims of Human Trafficking. They need Hope!
