Painting in the Piazza

During the summers our church does an evangelistic outreach every month. Last year they realized the effectiveness of using art as a tool to reach the community with the message when they saw how Jon’s live painting was received. Ever since then they have invited him to paint at each event. Here are some photos from the last two outreaches.

While there is music, testimonies, and a message, Jon prayerfully paints in the town piazza.

The banner hung here for this outreach read: We preach Christ, the power and the wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:23-24). Come! Jesus Loves You!

We also have outreaches for the kids at the park. There are Bible stories, songs, games, snacks and Bible verse memorization (pictured here)!

Jon has prints of his artwork with a verse and the church’s information included on the back. This boy stopped to watch Jon paint and Jon gave him one of the prints. Later he brought back 3 of his friends who also took prints home with them. Pray that God uses them to speak into their lives even now!

We partnered with another church for this outreach and it was likely their first time seeing art used in outreach. Jon is explaining his painting to them here.
